Our Origin Story
After working in specialty logistics for an Australian entertainment company for 13 years, we moved to the USA in 2003.
In 2008, we had a particularly difficult year, which included seven continuous weeks on the road starting in Singapore, then Bahrain, and ending up in Vienna.
It was during this time that we began to question why we were working so hard for someone else.
Starting our own company was a scary prospect, but it was the necessary next step for our development.
In May 2009, we took the leap and founded our own company in Atlanta, Georgia.
We decided on the name, “Shipping Monster,” and asked our then 8-year-old what he thought a Shipping Monster looked like.
His response was a huge hit, and we immediately sent it to our favorite graphic designer. From there, we were off and running.
