Environmental Responsibility
At The Shipping Monster, we recognize the importance of addressing environmental issues in the logistics industry. We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions, minimizing waste packaging, and promoting recycling and reusing of packaging.
We are 100% paperless organization, with an emphasis on virtual communications, in an effort to minimize essential travel. Our pledge includes the following initiatives:
Carbon Emissions Reduction
We will measure our carbon emissions, offset them through accredited services, and adopt decarbonization strategies in line with the Paris agreement. This will involve making real changes such as efficiency improvements, renewable energy adoption, materials reductions, and other strategies aimed at eliminating carbon emissions.
Waste Packaging Reduction
We will reduce our packaging weight and increase recycled packaging content with 100% recyclability by 2036. We will ensure that 100% of our packaging is recyclable, reusable and compostable by 2025.
Recycling and Reusing Packaging
We will encourage our suppliers to reduce their own emissions by encouraging alternative energy conversion, regenerative agriculture, and circular design. We will also provide our customers with opportunities to repair, resell, recycle, and repurpose their products.
Sustainable Logistics Practices
We will analyze our supply chains from consumer to packaging, helping customers to be more sustainable and find future-proof solutions. We will also explore more efficient trucks, adhere to new government guidelines, and new fuel source alternatives such as battery, electric, and hydrogen.
